Obama Will Skip Memorial Ceremony Due to BP Oil Spill

Other than the original schedule of staying on his hometown Chicago for vacation, President Barack Obama has pending morning responsibilities in monitoring and sorting out the BP Oil Spill at the Gulf of Mexico on Memorial Day 2010. He was criticized about his vacation on his choice of skipping an important celebration in responsibility of being commander-in-chief of the United States. Memorial Day is about giving high regard for those who have served and died for the country and as the president, it is something that shouldn’t be missed. On the other hand Vice President Joe Biden will be representing Obama on the wreath-laying ceremony this coming Memorial Day. After all, President Barack Obama will be attending to important and urgent global affairs that need solutions like the BP Oil Spill.
