President Barack Obama last Friday called the BP Oil Spill an “assault on our shores” and orders an immediate solution to the still gushing oil in the Gulf of Mexico. BP Oil Spill latest update directly from BP management reveals that the top kill procedure is encountering resistance and problems because of the pressure of oil and gas coming out of the BP well. The success of actually cementing the leak still remains a huge question since it seems the pressure is too high to enable the process to overcome it.

Last Thursday, BP Oil Spill Live Feed reveals the temporary stoppage of the top kill procedure since the pressure was too much and the heavy drilling mud was proven to be overcome by the pressure of the oil and gas from the well. Again, just this Friday BP was again forced to suspend the procedure for the same reason.

Although President Obama praises BP for its procedure he says that there is more work to be done and it must be done immediately. He said that the cleanup is the largest the US has ever taken. As of this moment 20,000 people are working around the clock, and more than three million cubic feet of boom are already in place, with 100,000 more cubic feet of boom on the way. The latest Gallup poll last Thursday, May 27 shows that 53% of Americans was dissatisfied with Obama’s performance and action on the BP oil spill. The same Americans surveyed gave BP 73% dissatisfaction rating even with their new procedure being announced.
