BP Oil Spill Live Feed Update: BP Proceeded With LMRP to Stop Gulf Coast Oil Spill: Here is the latest BP Gulf Coast Oil Spill Update. BP has just started another oil spill solution to contain the the continuous gulf coast  oil spill that is injuring not just the marine life but also the livelihood of a lot of fishermen. After a lot of failed attempts to contain the gulf coast  oil spill that includes oil spill containment efforts such as boom oil equipments, oil separators, a four-storey oil containment dome, and the latest is the top kill procedure involving huge masses of muds to seal the broken oil leak, BP’s next step to stop the oil spill is now what they call LMRP or Lower Marine Riser Package.

The image above tells us how this latest oil spill solution called LMRP looks like. Basically, the very idea of this latest oil spill containment method is to channel the oil leak to a nearby Discoverer Enterprise Drillship to get it out of the ocean. To be exact, this particular oil spill solution will be much more complex than the previous gulf coast oil spill solutions mentioned above since it requires connection of the oil spill containment cap to a riser from the Discoverer Enterprise drillship and then placing it over the LMRP, with a sole intention to capture most of the oil and gas flowing from the well and transporting it to the drillship on the surface.

While it may seem easy, this oil spill solution will be another challenge to BP since this was never tried before at depths of below 5,000 feet under water. In addition, will the oil spill containment cap be able to withstand the pressure that the oil leak is emitting?

Right now, I am watching the BP oil spill live feed HERE and all I can see is that the oil spill is continuously leaking tremendous amount of oil into the ocean. We hope that this LMRP will be the last and final oil spill solution that will finally seal the oil leak caused by BP. Time is of essence here as everyday that the oil spill is there, hundreds of lives are affected.

Meanwhile, if you want to know the story behind this BP oil spill, we have it covered HERE.

    Once again,
Obahma talks like he is in charge, when in fact he has no clue on how to handle the situation, much less the insite to request experts to find a solution.
BP is sitting back relaxing, nowing that they will not have to be responsible for this disaster. The american people will have to pay for this , just like the bail out for the banks and the financial institutions.
Obohma and congress are clueless to the americans need for buisness and expansion.

BP pumped mud down a pipe to attempt thier top kill. This pipe had to be quite large as they pumped a very high rates (65 bpm). This mud entered below th blind rams which they were unable to plug with thier junk shot and a portion of the mud came out the BOP’s. the remainder of the mud was pumped down the wellbore. It would seem simplle to flow the well up this pipe as the seawater is exerting a pressure of near 2400 psi at the BOP’s and the flowing oil and gas gradient would be sufficiently light enough to allow a quite high flow rate. If the pressure at the Bop’s was pulled down below the seawater pressure the BOP’s could be plugged from the outside and the well flowed at a sufficient rate to stop the spill. I have attempted to submit this idea to BP but have not had any responce.

After giving this much cosideration to the resolve of BP issuse I find there approch to the soulation a shot in the dark. I have created a soulation that I belive it would work. I have spent years in the oil industry Norway , England, Scotland. Thank you I hope this will find its way through the proper channels. Sincerly Brent Boatman

Get in touch with MIT and get some kids in on this solution.
