BP Oil Spill Live Feed: BP Oil Spill Cap Placed To Prevent Oil Spill:  BP oil spill cap is now collecting 10,000 barrels of oil everyday. This is the latest news of the latest oil spill solution implemented by BP. After several attempts to contain the oil spill from boom oil equipments, to oil separators and then finally the top kill procedure, BP has done something successful to prevent the oil leak from spreading into the ocean.

BP’s CEO Tony Hayward claimed that currently, the BP oil spill cap is collecting around 10,000 barrels of oil on a daily basis. That’s a huge development in the BP oil spill since according to some estimates, the Deepwater Horizon oil rig originally contains about 20 million gallons of crude oil before it sank.

Well, while this may sound to be a good development in preventing the oil leak from spreading into the ocean, the amount of oil that BP’s cap currently catches is only 1/3 as compared to the total amount of oil that the broken oil pipe is emitting into the ocean.Tony Hayward stressed his company’s commitment to stop the oil spill and bring back the Gulf to how it was before.

I think that the oil spill cap is just a temporary oil spill solution. BP must think of an alternative oil spill solution that will put a permanent end to the oil leak.
