Apple iPhone 4G Features, Price, and Availability announced at WWDC 2010

Update: Here are the specifications of the new apple iPhone 4 and whether it’s worth a buy.

The new iPhone 4G HD countdown is going to end in a few hours as Steve Jobs will be having his keynote speech at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2010 (WWDC 2010). As it has been said by many news sites all over the world, the launch of the new iPhone 4G HD is at hand. Though some people may not be that excited anymore after that exclusive feature of Gizmodo with the lost Apple iPhone prototype unit, some are still excited. One thing was lacking with Gizmodo’s feature and it was that they were not able to feature that prototype iPhone with some battery charge left just to unveil the new applications and the features. Gizmodo can just watch among many people in the whole world through Apple’s live conference video stream of the WWDC 2010 Apple iPhone 4G HD Launch.

This apple iPhone 4G HD has been the most controversial Apple gadget to date. First of all the prototype unit was lost by an Apple engineer on a bar stool. Next was the suicide of a 25-year old Chinese Apple engineer at the assembly factory, who was said to have been given flack about the lost iPhone 4G HD prototype unit before he jumped off a building. Hopefully from all of the bad news people have been getting from Apple, there’s good news to the launch of the new iPhone 4G HD unit at the Worldwide Developers Conference.

To me it appears that apple has shot itself in the foot. I used high resolution 3 inch WVGA Toshiba 3 years ago and the resolution was a pain. Also apple has chosen very odd aspect ratio of 960/640. I think people may buy it for fashion but apple will eventually loose to android with in 1 to 2 years. There is no way that they can compete Android.
If they had brains they would have chosen a resolution of around 1000/480 pixel on a screen of 4 inch or slightly more.

Let me know when they bring back unlimited Internet access.

Until then, I’m sticking with my iPod Touch. (btw… does anyone know if they’re releasing a new iPod with features from the new iPhone?)
