Google launched their newest extension, the Google Background and later launched another extension called Remove Google Background.
Google Background is a Firefox extension that allows a user to nominate a locally stored image to replace the white background that is by default used by Google on their main search page
Some people love it, other’s are not pleased with the new look. They are frustrated because the user doesn’t have an option to not have a background image. It can’t be removed or disabled.
Because of this extension, another chrome extension was released, they called it Remove Google background. It is a chrome extension that make sure Google will always look as plain as it was before. It was also became number 2 in Google trends.
Here’s how to add own image. First, click on the “Add background image” link on the lower corner of Google.com; Second, select “Editor Picks” from the list on the left of the popup; and Last, scroll to the bottom of the list and select White as a color.
If you do not want the image and want to restore the default Google background then use Remove Google Background extension.

In Firefox just download the NoScript Add-on and when installed open the Google homepage. In the Status bar at the bottom right click on the NoScript icon and ‘Forbid’ scripts from Google. Simple.
