Peggy West, Milwaukee Country Supervisor seems to have made either a grave error in geography or made the wrong choice of words during the debate over Arizona’s immigration bill. She said that Airzona is way away the Mexico border and then refers to Texas as the state sharing border with Mexico.
““If this was Texas, which is a state that is directly on the border with Mexico, and they were calling for a measure like this saying that they had a major issue with undocumented people flooding their borders, I would have to look twice at this. But this is a state that is a ways removed from the border,”
The debate over the immigration law of Arizona is heatedly increasing as the state wants to pass more laws which will now deny children of illegal immigrants any possible right to become legal citizens of the United States. This means whatever these sons and daughters do they will never ever be an American because of their parents.
The debate is even more intensifying as other states with high Hispanic population are now calling for a boycott of Arizona. These states whose Hispanic people are proposing the o-called “Arizona boycotts” includes San Diego, San Francisco and Oakland. Seattle who is not a known center of Hispanic-Americans had already passed a boycott last May 18.
The Arizona Boycott in which Peggy West is supporting calls on these states to deny Arizona of the much needed cash inflow as a sign of protest for their unjustified immigration law. The basic argument is not that Arizona’s bill is unfair and indefensible. Other states, however, have a similar view and are now considering making the same immigration bill into law. One of the states considering such a law is Washington.
Here is the famous Peggy West Milwaukee video.
