The long dreads of Lil Wayne might be history since “Lil Wayne Shaved Dreads” will soon be the real headline as he gets a prison term. Prison rules states that hair should be cut and the prescribed prison haircut should be followed.

Lil Wayne was sentenced to one year in state prison as he was found guilty and was sentenced in February due to attempted gun possession.

Based on reports Wayne acknowledged that he had a loaded .40-caliber semiautomatic gun when the bus was stopped shortly after a Manhattan concert on July 22, 2007. His lawyer had previously disputed the gun was the rapper’s, in part by questioning the reliability of a highly sensitive DNA test that prosecutors said tied him to the weapon.

Lil Wayne is at the top of his career and this prison term is out of the picture. His famous dreads are part of what had defined him and for sure if those gets cut then he might have a hard time reclaiming what he had today.

We’ve been really wondering why people like them who had all that they want and was popular and on the top of their career would suddenly just do something stupid. Are they out of their mind? Well maybe they are. Entertainment starts particularly rappers and rockstars often have problems with sex, drugs and crime. As if that was part of their lifestyle.

To further confirm the possibility of Lil Wayne shaving his dreads here is a feedback from a lawyer that was interviewed, “Male prisoners are only allowed to wear their hair in cornrows, going straight back. And they can’t exceed the ‘natural hairline’ in length.”
