Because of the worst economic crisis in decades, housing prices across the United States suburbs are now being reduced. Yet, it’s still not that easy to find affordable suburbs with good schools, low crime rates, cheap food, and a good quality of life. Business Week selected one affordable suburb near the biggest city in each state where residents can find the best quality of life for their money in 2009.

The following are the best affordable suburbs in the United States: Alabaster in Alabama, Knik-Fairview in Alaska, Fountain Hills in Arizona, Cabot in Arkansas, Arcadia in California, Louisville in Colorado, Glagow in Delaware, Fruit Cove in Florida, Peachtree City in Georgia, Mililani Town in Hawaii, Meridian in Idaho, Itasca in Illinois, Zionsville in Indiana, West Des Moines in Iowa, Shawnee in Kansas, Wilmore in Kentucky and many more.
