Rumors has it on the internet and around twitter that Ronnie James Dio regarded as the God Father of Metal is dead.
As soon as people who knows the singer heards about the news, they were all confused about the news which simply says, “Ronnie James Dio dead at 67.” Later on the day the news was received by her wife who immediately denied the news and says that the Ronnie James Dio is Dead rumor is just another hoax and the singer is alive and well.
“I am at the hospital and Ronnie has NOT passed away!!!! He is not doing good, but he is not dead. I will let you know if anything changes. Thank you for your concern,” Ronnie’s wife, Wendy Dio said in a statement according to Blabbermouth.net.

Ronnie James Dio is part of heavy metal bands which had millions of following and fans worldwide. These bands includes Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Heaven & Hell. He had been battling stomach cancer and had been confined to the hospital due to worsening conditions.
The fame and influence of Dio was unparalleled and the moment the rumor that Ronnie Hames Dio is dead reached fans and other fellow rock stars they began twitting and posting condolences and tribute. They are however more delighted to hear that indeed it was just a hoax and a false alarm.
The source of the “Ronnie James Dio is Dead” rumor had been traced to a Wikipedia user who posted an edit to the artists page saying, “I have just been informed that RJD died today”. Reading the entry Metal Underground reported the news and artist Tom Morello immediately expressed his condolences. Later on due to the research of Digital Journal Online and the statement of Wendy Dio the rumor was confirmed to be false.
However, several hours later as stated above Wendy Dio confirms Ronnie James Dio’s death via her posting at Dio’s official website.
